The idea
We will continue to run holiday camps completely for free to children in our are that wouldn't normally get the opportunity to engage with camps due to disadvantages, We run camps for children in primary school where they can experience things they wouldn't usually get to. A Party bus, a snow globe bouncy castle, goats, reptiles, circus workshops and dancing workshops are just a few things we have offered to show these children the time of their loves.
The funding would go towards continuing to offer this support for more and more children. We don't just focus on those on benefits as often families with working parents are equally or even worse off. We believe you should get the opportunity to have a great time as a child no matter what background you come from or how much money your parents may or not have.
What we'll deliver
- Summer camp Approx. 70 children
- Christmas camp Approx. 35 Children
- Easter camp Approx 35. Children
- A cooked meal every day of camp
- Different activites every day
Why it's a great idea
Evidence shows that these camps bring our community together, Families draw nearer together and children become friends that last year round not just at our camps. We show the families that they are cared about and loved which often they don't experience in everyday life. Our camps get children off the streets where they may be doing things they shouldn't. Instead they come to a safe friendly environment that can speak positivity into their lives and due to the consistency of the camps we can build on this month by month. Good relationships with the schools mean that this isn't just 3 camps a year for the children. We go into school to engage with the teachers and children to show that we truly care for the community. It also gives opportunities for locals that care for the children in their community to volunteer and we often get new volunteers joining our team for the local area.

We are a Christian organization and our camps run under a Christian ethos and we have area of each day where we teach the children something to do with Christianity. As 80% of the children that attend out camps are not Christian or attend church we make this very introductory often focusing on good morals and principles that can be take from scripture. We have found that non Christian parents are very appreciative of our approach and continue to send their children
