Currently we are operating several of these community groups from a very old church building , in order to create a purpose built community hub and day centre we need to agree a lease on this town centre building that will be completed by March 25 - Our fundraising will centre around the cost of the yearly lease , we will of course contact several sponsors to help us achieve this very worthy project.
Carterton is a fast growing town attached to RAF Brize Norton so we are also planning to support the many veterans who have retired and live in the community . As a well established Foodbank( 2014) community fridge / lunch club / drop in centre , we wish to expand these groups to initiate a day centre and a drop in advice centre and create the Carterton Community Hub a one stop hub for support and information. We need your help to do this . Today I was presented with a cheque from Carterton Community College in order to support what we are doing .
What we'll deliver:
- Day Centre to provide food and support
- Hub for information / Drop in centre
- Veterans lunch club
- Safe Space
- Foodbank
Why it's a great idea:
Support to our most vulnerable families within our community and outlying parishes by providing - Drop in for Advice - Foodbank - Community Fridge - Lunch Club - Veterans meeting place - Safe Space .
Steps to get it done:
- To be up and running by the autumn 2025
