To our friends and supporters, As you may know, we have successfully reached our overall crowdfunding target and more to fund our new community project, Café4All. Through the generosity of our local community and local agencies, we were able to surpass our original target and have now currently reached £3,227. We wanted to take a little time to write out this open letter to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to all who have supported our campaign, whether by pledging or just by a quick share and a kind comment. The nature of online crowdfunding meant we had to rely on supporters and our community (both local and online) to share and promote our content on our behalf. You did not disappoint. Thank you so much for getting behind us and helping to shape our community into a happier and more prosperous one. We would also like to sincerely thank Sunderland City Council and NHS Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group for their substantial pledges and support to our campaign. We are both touched and appreciative that we have been recognised as having something positive to contribute to our community. Now, the hard work truly begins. We have decided to let our Spacehive crowdfunding appeal remain open until Saturday, 31st July. Any extra funds raised will be put into Café4All to purchase extra equipment. When we do close our crowdfunding, we will apply for a church faculty to develop the new kitchen and café area. We will also move to purchase all necessary equipment and develop the right ambience and feel for a café that welcomes all in a comfortable, homely and safe manner. For now, we would just like to say thank you once again. Stay tuned for more updates. Kimberley Lo (Community Lead) and Derek Bagnall (Community Advocate Lead)
