More about our impact
The environment
We used all recycled materials on building props and costume making
The local economy
Boosted the takings at the performance venue and the venue where we practised. Added to the evenings entertainment at existing shows which increased income and door takings for a local CIC. Boosted the income of freelance artists involved who spent money on local economy whilst preparing and performing
Volunteering, jobs & education
Freelance artists were supported by the money given for prop building and painting. Freelance musicians income boosted by fees paid
Arts, culture & heritage
Provided a platform for existing artists to perform and new artists to spread their wings. Increased confidence and joy of audience members who could participate. Supported an existing show in a local arts venue who benefitted financially from the evening. Ensured that a venue not part of a big local light up festival on the same night was busy. Offered a seated environment for those with mobility issues. Bought new groups of creative people together
Activity, health and leisure
Encouraged those who wouldn't have otherwise come out on a really busy festival weekend across the city, to come out and be part of it by offering Cabaret Cliche amin a chilled and seated environment
