We are an ever growing sports club and we like to make sport inclusive for everyone. Some of our competitions involve a journey and, in order to be inclusive we want to offer transport
A minibus will ensure that all children are able to attend competitions and training without transport being a barrier. Our club has grown from 6 children to 38 children in the last 2yrs and we are now at a stage where we can go to regional and national competitions. As well as competitions we run holiday and youth clubs and we will use the minibus for daytrips for those in the community who cannot travel due to cost, availability or family situations. Our summer camps take the children & young people in our care to activities throughout the north east, having our own minibus will enable us to increase the frequency of the trips/camps.

Why it's a great idea:
We will be able to offer transport to all the children and young people in our club, ensuring that no child misses out due to not driving or owning a car. We will be able to increase our summer activities and offer more children the opportunities of a day out.
Steps to get it done:
Unfortunately a lot of the regional competitions are located in The Midlands or southern regions meaning that children who's parents do not drive have to get public transport. By having a minibus will be reduce our carbon footprint as parents and children can all travel together

VolunteerWe are a community based fitness centre offering Olympic Weightlifting, strongman training, strength & conditioning and mobility classes.
Our classes are fully inclusive and supportive, offering sessions for children from the age of 8yrs old to adults. Our aim is to offer a wrap around hollistic approach to training, ensuring that its fully accessible to all. After some of our training sessions we are able to sit, have a cuppa and spend some time chatting.
We have a sensory room in our gym where children and adults can access when needed. This room is also used for our counsellor.
Project Owner: Weights & Cakes CIC The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
