Burnley Words is an exciting word/storytelling based festival and community outreach programme which has been nurtured and delivered by Culturapedia since 2019 and delivered in partnership in the borough with a range of Burnley organisations, artists and volunteers. Culturapedia are a small, dynamic creative organisation who work across the county in partnership with people, organisations and local authorities co-designing and producing exciting and accessible cultural programmes and experiences in places where people feel at home. Culturapedia is a trading name for Robinson Howell Partnership ltd and is supported by Arts Council England through its National Portfolio. Although a private company all funds for this project will be ringfenced for public benefit and will be entirely managed and spent by the magazine's steering group, supported by our Creative Producer Stephie Jessop. Culturapedia will be acting as the accountable body and financial manager for this project. We created this campaign to encourage Burnley Viewpoint towards independence and we see this programme as the beginnings of a longer journey celebrating and nurturing writing talent in Burnley. Managed, curated and written by Burnley people.
