A simple solution to the lack of facilities in the town.
Burghead is hoping to start a tennis club. Rather than aim too high to begin with we would rather have a quicker and cheaper start.
To build courts from fresh would cost tens of thousands of pounds and take months of fund-raising time and more time for planning permission to be obtained . To purchase a portable net and ancilliary equipment to use in the school yard would cost only around £800 and would be usable from the start of next season.
As this is a freestandind net, it could also be used on any grass, or other suitable area & be lent out to other communities if available.
It is thought that this would be an easy way to start then, as the club grows, further expansion and more grand designs can be explored.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Because it is a quick and economical way to provide sports facilities for all ages and abilities at relatively low cost. The equipment provided could be used by everyone living in the area and by visitors. The benefits would far outweigh the cost.
Steps to get it done:
It's that simple!
