Burgess Sports has increasing number of young people willing to participate in sports and other activities within the organisation umbrella
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
Burgess Sports young people's club is a response to our increasing demand from youngsters who want to be members or continue to be members and do sports and social activities within our umbrella. Many of our participants as they grow old want to continue coming to our programmes and some others want to become Ambassadors and volunteer assisting the coaches. We want to hear their voices and extend our programme which at the moment serves from 5 to 12 years old. So far we have put in place drop-in session in different sports but still, there is demand for a place where they can meet and do physical and social activities as they would in our after-school programme.

This project has a great sense of ownership as it has been designed by and for young people. Burgess Sports Club is an idea born in our young people's head and it is through their inspiration and drive that Burgess Sports feels the enthusiasm to support and back the project
Steps to get it done:
In a severely deprived area, we aim to provide life-changing opportunities to the community. Success at sport is only part of the picture, we also work to develop social, personal and creative skills.
