Peabody Housing challenged The Purls.Uk to knit and crochet 100 items before 20th December 2020.5 years ago

Asa vulnerable group that we support, we chose premature baby items. We smashed the challenge by knitting & crocheting 298 items before the deadline. 18 items have been added to the total in January. We will be connecting with organisations that support parents of premature babies to donate a number of these items once covid restrictions are lifted.

Good news is so important, despite the covid restrictions a group of women in West London managed to resume their studies on an online platform to complete their studies, including myself Bridget Harris Founder of The Purls.UK.......Another celebration waiting to happen.

The Purls.UK will connect with 10 people that are shielding or living on their own to enable them to remain connected to their community. Bags of craft items will be given to enable them to connect to others to discuss their progress.
