Buddies Community Craft Cafe started fundraising!11 months ago
We are opening a community craft cafe in Buttermere Community Centre, Buddies Cafe. It is an affordable cafe that is open to EVERYONE in and around our community, to come for a cuppa and crafts.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
Buddies Café is a community run café open to EVERYONE in and around Chorley. Our aim is to improve the mental health of our customers and volunteers by bringing people together for a natter, a brew and to do some crafts. Buddies Café will run on Wednesdays from 9-3pm, breakfast is available from 9am, lunch from 11.30am and our craft session from 12.30-2pm. The afternoon is finished off with a brew. The café is open all day, with our customers taking part in as many or as few of the activities that they choose. Come for the day if you can! Buddies Café is affordable, we are offering food and drinks at a low price, offering good quality food to all.

Why it's a great idea:
Buddies Cafe will bring a much needed meeting space to the Buttermere area. Residents can come in for a warm brew and food, chat with their friends and spend time crafting. Mums and dads can come along to our toddler group in the morning. Children can come along in the holidays to do some crafting, as well as parents and children being fed for free in the holidays. Business people can come along and use our space for meetings. All members of the community are welcome for a natter and a brew. We are truly a community cafe where all are welcome.

VolunteerSt Vincent’s Centre, Wirral, is a Community Support Centre based in the heart of Birkenhead, that supports Wirral residents through a range of services and activities.
At St Vincent's Centre we offer our own services, including our Community Café; Clothes Bank; Digital Support; Befriending chats; free activities such as our Vinnie's Pantry, Chess Club and Wellbeing Wednesday. We are also wanting to develop a Community Garden and Allotment, which will be supported by over 30 of our beneficiaries.
As well our own services and activities we share the building with numerous partners, including Wirral Foodbank, Citizen's Advice Wirral, Energy Project Plus, therefore delivering a joined-up provision for our beneficiaries.
Our partnership approach means that many of the client's needs can all be met, in one location, via a single point of access. The strength of our partnerships is driven by our common goals and combined strengths.
