The idea
The project aims to bridge the gap in arts education for children in deprived and rural areas by delivering high-quality, in-school workshops through collaboration with Cotswolds Arts Through Schools and partner organisations. With budget cuts curtailing access to art, music, drama, dance, and oracy, and barriers like transport and economic hardship limiting out-of-school opportunities, we focus on providing creative experiences directly where children learn. By introducing expert-led sessions, we aim to spark imagination, teach valuable skills, and promote cultural enrichment. From painting and playing instruments to dancing and speaking with confidence, these activities encourage personal growth and offer children an engaging, screen-free way to explore and express themselves. This initiative not only enriches educational settings but also inspires families to partake in creative endeavours at home, fostering an enduring love for the arts.
