Really pleased to announce that our kit supplier Event Caddie has agreed to be our first official sponsor! We believe kitting our parakeets out in smart shirts and fleeces, with our parakeets logo on, is a really important way of building a good team spirit and making our children feel they belong to a serious organisation (they do!). MEET OUR NEW COACH! We're super pleased to announce Giulio Merolla as our new coach for the 2024 programme, starting in March. Giulio is based at the North London Golf Academy where he uses the latest technology to hone his clients' golfing skills. We're sure that this year's cohort of parakeets will particularly love his indoor TrackMan bays on some of those colder days ahead. Great to have you on board Jules!
Dear Parakeets Supporter We had some bad news last week. We applied for funding for our third Parakeets programme but it was declined. It's perhaps not surprising when an application for a golf academy sits next to so many other good causes at this current time, it finds it difficult to compete. Many people outside golf have little understanding of the benefits that the sport can hold for children. But we know those within the golfing community do know those benefits. Which is why we are appealing to you again! We need around another £2,000 to run this year's programme in full for around 10 children or £6,000 to run it for 20 children as we did last year.
