More about our impact
The environment
We have provided a refurbished sports using long lasting GRC concrete removing the need for regular renewal of timber ditch supports
The local economy
The project was not aimed at improving the local economy but income from future use of the green and reduced future maintenance costs will benefit the Community Centre wich serves local residents
Volunteering, jobs & education
Volunteering is mainly provided by users of the Community Centre. Impact on jobs was not a criteria although the project provided employment for sub-contactor staff. Education in the form of sports skills will emerge during the 2025 bowling season when the facilities are open to families and the general public of all ages.
Arts, culture & heritage
The project was aimed at improving sports opportunities for the wider community
Activity, health and leisure
Impact will be evident from when the facilities reopen in April 2025 for the new bowling season
