The idea
BODS is an ambitious community hub for every aspect of amateur theatre where individuals of all ages explore and develop their performing arts skills. Participants engage in workshops, improvised sessions, and rehearsals, culminating in two or three productions a year as well as festivals and competitions. BODS takes performances into the community. Our society is entirely volunteer-run. Our project aims to enrich our productions by buying better stage equipment, sets, costumes, and technical resources.

Why it's a great idea
PRODUCTION ENHANCEMENT - a more engaging and professional experience to better entertain our audiences and provide low cost, accessible theatrical experiences to our community.
SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE- new equipment will allow us to teach more theatrical skills giving participants confidence from learning to use professional quality resources.
WELLBEING - Sharing the magic of bringing a show to the stage helps participants make new friends in our local area, and sharing the experience with our audiences gives our community the chance to share memorable experiences together.
