My relocation to Doncaster in April 2017 exposed me to the gaps that existed in cohesion of ethnic minorities in Doncaster. It consequently became overwhelming for me to engage with services as i could not access or navigate services and network
Bearing this in mind, a united forum for black ethnic minorities in Doncaster became very essential.
BMEUD was therefore developed out of a vision of seeing a community where diversity and equality of BME families are promoted in Doncaster.
With the aim of networking other minority groups, we aim to promote the best interest of BME families in all our activities by employing a volunteer -led approach to address many of the issues that affects minorities in Doncaster.
