📢 We’re turning Ozanam House into a green space with indoor plants and a peaceful outdoor garden—bringing beauty, wellness, and biodiversity to our vibrant community centre. 🌳🌼🌷
🌷 We’re bringing nature to Ozanam House by adding indoor plants throughout our centre and building a small outdoor garden. This project will enhance the daily experience of over 500 members—including children, vulnerable adults, and seniors—by creating a calming, colourful, and welcoming environment. 🌵 Indoor plants will improve air quality and atmosphere across our rooms, while the outdoor garden will serve as a tranquil retreat and a place for hands-on gardening. For those without personal green space, it offers a chance to connect with nature. 🤝 We’ll source plants, planters, tools, and decorative items through local suppliers and donations, focusing on sustainability and community collaboration. Members will be directly involved in planting and maintaining the spaces. 🐝 Any remaining funds will support biodiversity. Together, we’ll grow a space of beauty, belonging, and well-being.

🟢 Promotes a sense of community by involving members in planting and maintenance activities. 🟢 Provides educational opportunities in gardening and environmental sustainability. 🟢 Supports mental health through gardening experiences and exposure to nature (especially for our Therapy Session Room) 🟢 Make our community centre warmer for our beneficiaries by arranging the space with beautiful plants, on every level and rooms in the centre. 🟢 Utilises sustainable practices by sourcing materials locally and prioritising eco-friendly options. 🟢 Encourages biodiversity with bird feeders and nests, enriching the ecosystem.

VolunteerOzanam House is a vibrant community resource centre operated by the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, located in the heart of Dublin’s North Inner City, overlooking the beautiful Mountjoy Square park.
Since opening its doors in 2002, Ozanam House has provided a vital stepping-stone for individuals of all ages—from two years old to those well into their nineties.
We cater to over 500 members and offer more than 600 programme places each week, ensuring that there’s something for everyone in our diverse community. Whether it’s learning, personal growth, safety, or encouragement, our centre is a place where people come to feel supported and valued.
Our wide range of programmes addresses the many needs of the community. From childcare and youth services to education and adult development, we strive to meet the evolving needs of those who rely on us.
