Blades Down CIC is a community-driven organisation committed to tackling knife crime, youth violence, and antisocial behaviour. Founded in response to the growing concerns around youth safety, Blades Down provides education, support, and intervention to help young people make positive life choices.
We work with schools, youth groups, and communities, delivering hard-hitting workshops that educate young people on the realities and consequences of knife crime. Our sessions encourage open discussions, critical thinking, and personal reflection, helping young people understand the risks and develop strategies to stay safe.
Beyond education, we provide safe spaces and mentorship, supporting young people facing challenges such as peer pressure, gang culture, and county lines exploitation. Our work is early intervention-focused, ensuring young people receive guidance and positive role models before they reach crisis point.
We also run the KnockOut Violence Project, using boxing and mentorship to instil discipline, confidence, and resilience in young people. This initiative helps them channel their energy into self-improvement rather than violence, offering them support networks and opportunities to break free from negative influences.
Blades Down actively works within the community, supplying bleed control kits and partnering with local organisations, police, and professionals to create a united front against knife crime. By bringing people together and empowering young people, we are committed to making our streets safer and giving the next generation the tools to build a better future
