As we are spending more time indoors due to COVID-19 I am frustrated at our broadband speed and that it will be some time before we are included in a national roll out of gigafast broadband.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
I was hoping to access the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme from the Government to pay for the communities upgraded broadband however this scheme closed between getting costings and applying, I have approached my MP who have also said that the scheme is now closed, the main benefit was for my street we are a collection of terraced houses with no front gardens and limited back yards as lots of us have kids (I have 3 and 1 of which is disabled and relies on her internet for communication), I approached openreach who will upgrade a total of 79 properties if we could raise the funds.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Improved local economy as small businesses such as estate agency and local hubs as cafes will have an unrivalled internet connection, this will benefit residents who now use the internet to stay in touch as well as benefit disabled children on the street giving them uninterrupted connection.
