The lock down is hitting amateur sports clubs hard. We've worked really hard to keep cricket in the heart of our community and we need your support to ensure the club is still here when lockdown is over. We have maintained the men's team, started a junior section and are about to create a women's softball team as well. We've got grant funding for capital investment on the grounds and clubhouse but all this will be in jeopardy if the club is not sustained through this closed period. As a community amateur sports club our only income is from member subs and donations and like a number of organisations we've suspended subs whilst the club can't operate. As such we're reliant on donations to pay the electricity bill, lease and all the other bills involved in maintaining a facility. All the staff are volunteers giving their time freely so any financial help you can give to keep cricket alive in Blackley is most appreciated.

What we'll deliver:

  • COVID-19 Emergency response fund to keep the club operating

Why it's a great idea:

This fund will keep cricket thriving in Blackley catering for the next generation of cricketers and prepare more volunteers to assist in the delivery of these exciting cricket sessions. It will provide opportunities for children to become more active and will build even stronger links with our local Blackley community.

Steps to get it done:

  • Maintain the club as a viable CASC through the lockdown.

if we raise £100 then the ECB will match it. Please help!
