The Latest from Blackburn Blind Sports Equipment Costs

Thanks to the funding received, we were able to purchase the equipment required to enable our players to play goalball properly. We purchased a pair of goalball goal frames, which meant we could stop using hazardous benches for goals, it meant players could use the goals for orientation and give them a real experience of playing the sport how it’s played in competitions. We were also able to purchase proper line marking tape and string so the venue floor wasn’t left with sticky tape residue and players could feel their positions with ease on the court. We were also able to move from a venue that had a concrete floor that players had to crawl and dive on, to a venue that had a clean wooden sprung floor. Since securing funding, we’ve made these purchases and the club has started benefiting from this new equipment and venue.
