Bikes for All

Bikes for All: providing free bikes for those who need them in Leicester. Thats right, free bikes along with locks, lights and a helmet for local people who can't afford their own.

This project has reached its fundraising target. It has also activated Continuous Fundraising, which means you can still donate and support the project.

Hopefully you will have seen today that we hit our goal... but that the goalposts slightly moved. Having talked to the City council and space hive we have slightly scaled down our fundraising goal but still aim to impact as many people as before but donating a bit of our teams time to cover the shortfall. A big thank you to everyone who has supported this project so far. Keep an eye on our socials in the coming weeks for news of bikes starting to be given away to local people!

Thanks to people donating quality locks and lights your donations will go further to helping people as part of this project. We have 14 locks and 12 sets of lights that won't need to be purchased now worth over £390. This saving can be put towards giving away more bikes to more people!

There is still a little bit of time left for people to support this project but we want to get it up and running as soon as we can which is why the first 2 bikes are refurbished and ready to go. Just need some lights, locks and helmets before we can give them to new owners. We will be building more bikes like this over the following weeks, aiming to get to 50 in total if we hit the funding target!
