We want to raise much needed funds to support Belbroughton Cricket Club during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Belbroughton CC exists to provide excellent opportunities for the local community to play and enjoy cricket.However the sustainability of the club is under pressure following the suspension of all forms of recreational cricket due to the Coronoavirus pandemic.During this crisis the Club must generate as much finance as it can because we will have no income from our bar and greatly reduced other sources of income which are used to meet our annual costs of maintaining the ground,its buildings and our equipment.It is for this reason we are asking members and the public to help the Club keep going by making a donation however small which will be used to pay for these expenses and guarantee cricket can be played at our ground when it is safe to do so . The impact of Covid-19 makes us realise how precious sporting clubs are.When we do get to the end of this crisis it will be important that clubs like Belbroughton are still operational and available for our children and the local community.

Belbroughton CC wants to continue with its commitment to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the local community to play and enjoy junior and adult cricket and use our facilities. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated.It will guarantee that cricket will continue to be played at Belbroughton CC when we can safely open and from 2021 and beyond.

A big thank you to everybody who has pledged to our spacehive appeal so far. It was also promoted at last night's successful fish and chip takeaway event. If you click on the link you'll see we're now overfunding. This is because we set a low target of £200 as we weren't sure how many pledges we would receive. Although that target has been exceeded we do still need as many pledges to cover our ongoing costs in the absence of cricket at the club. 8 days left so please keep pledging. We would like to thank all the businesses and individuals who have made a donation to our Covid-19 Emergency Response Fund. In less than a week we have raised over £1000! Your support is really appreciated, Your pledges will allow the club to continue to pay for the ground, buildings and equipment maintenance costs needed to enable our volunteers to keep the ground in the condition you can see from the image in this update.
Many thanks to the volunteer team who worked so hard to prepare the nets for the start of this week's net sessions. Senior members and parents of junior members who are paid club members for 2020 can book sessions via the Club's Facebook page or directly via email with the Director of Coaching, Paul Shannon who can be contacted at pgshannon@gmail.com.

VolunteerBelbroughton Cricket Club is a not for profit organisation which exists to provide excellent opportinities for the local community to play and enjoy cricket. We are committed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for young cricketers of all ages and abilities.
In our Junior and Youth section we provide cricket and cricket coaching for 5-9 year olds in All Stars, School Year 3&4 Boys and Girls in our Young Tons programme, 8-11 year olds in our 2020 Dynamos programme and for Boys and Girls in School Years 5-12.
We also run 3 Adult teams who play matches in the Worcestershire County League.
We also have a Sunday team and a mid-week veterans team, Belbroughton Strollers, who play friendly matches against other local clubs.
Project Owner: Belbroughton Cricket Club The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
