More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

we educated young people to be mindful, and make efforts to reverse the decline of the bee population. We helped educate a cohort of young, environmentally conscious participants.

The local economy

The local economy

We stocked our honey in local cafes, and they sold like hot cakes! 2 months after extraction and we have barely any left of the 670 jars.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

We had over 10 young people volunteer on delivery of the project and 2 beekeepers to teach the cohort.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

Young people enjoyed working in outdoor green space and most courses, weather permitting, were delivered in the LiC garden or at Teviot Centre.
