The idea

For Phase 1 of Beautify Bushey Road with Bulbs we have chosen 4 strategic locations for mass injection planting of bulbs including

Area 1: Junction of Kingston Rd &Bushey Road – 10m2: Crocuses

Area 2: Between Dorien Road / Dupont Road – 85m2: Daffodils

Area 3: Between Martin Way and David Lloyd Leisure centre – 90m2 daffodils

Area 4: Opposite Range Rover Garage – 90m2 - daffodils

What we'll deliver

Machine plant over 275 square meters of bulbs meaning circa 10,000 Crocus and Daffodil Bulbs planted

Why it's a great idea

Bushey Road is an important commuter route into the borough of Merton and our project will look to lift the environment and greenspace to this important route, providing seasonal colour through the mass planting of seasonal bulbs to lift the spirit of residents and commuters a like as well as create a great first impression as you enter the borough of Merton.

Steps to get it done

We idealy need to get the bulbs in before 2nd week of December

We have chosen to machine plant the bulbs rather than mass planting events to guarentee the impact in Phase 1 of Beautify Bushey Road with Bulbs, but we anticipate more community events in Phase 2 of the project.
