Take a look at these fabulous pictures from this year’s “amazing” Batley Pride.\nThe annual event, which was first held in 2017, returned to Wilton Park, on Bradford Road, on Sunday, June 29, and saw lots of live entertainment as well as a variety of stalls from organisations, charities and community groups.\n\nBritish drag-performing star Anna Phylactic, who has appeared in TV shows and movies including Dragula and Everybody's Talking About Jamie, headlined the event, while there were also perform

The local economy

The local economy

Multiple local businesses attended the event and held stalls, selling goods to local people. Sponsors had positive engagement and saw an uptick in business after the event.

Volunteering, jobs & education

We had volunteers from secondary school and college which helped bulk out their CVs. We also were able to teach them basic event planning on the day.

Arts, culture & heritage

Creative Scene attended and led chalk painting for the children. Our headline act drew in multiple people and highlighted LGBT arts.

We had a stall for Andy's Man Club which is a great charity that supports mental health in men. We also supported Batley food bank and The Rainbow baby bank. We also always support run for Jo.
