The idea
The outfield will have a drain installed under the outfield area by the entrance gate the drain which will run all the way in front of the pavilion and finish by the scorebox ,where the collected water will drain away. The drain will be laid in a trench 8 inches below the surface and run a total distance of 80 metres. The issue is caused by the water that drains down the hill nd the reaching the flatter surface of the cricket pitch.

Why it's a great idea
Over the years we have cancelled many junior training sessions and matches have been called off due to the poor drainage. This project will help to reduce the number of cancellations thus increasing the amount of time the ground is available.
Steps to get it done
- The plan will be to complete the work over a 3 day period at the end of October 2020
The club had originally allocated the funding for the project and this had been budgeted for. The club are not able to now commit the full cost of in excess of £2000 to the project but are able to fund £1000 of the cost with the hope of raising the difference required
