The idea
Our project is keen to focus on targeting those disadvantged, social excluded children and young people not activity engaging in positive activities such as phyical health, well-being and youth. This also includes creating unique and exciting diversional and prevention programmes by delivering some of the below proposed activities and project;
1. Access to all, various sports coaching drop in sessions e.g. football, fencing, tennis etc
2. Access to all, health, and fitness exercise e.g. speed agility quickness boxercise strength condition balance co-ordination
3. Volunteering opportunities (encouraging and empowering locals to take up various roles)
4. Training and employment opportunities (providing some to access various accredited and NGB course leading to work experience and paid employment)
5. Peer Motivators and Mentoring (supporting those into becoming PM and 1-2-1 mentoring)
What we'll deliver
- 1 x 1-hour multi sports with fitness wellbeing training session / activity targeting 6-11 age group for girls
- 1 x 1-hour multi sports with fitness wellbeing training session / activity targeting 6-11 age group for boys
- 20 weeks of training activities
- 40 sessions / activities
- 7 months of positive and engaging programmes for all
- Job opportunities x 15 = 25 hours a week 6 months contract min.
Why it's a great idea
Through series of carefully planned activities and programmes we aim to use youth and sports activities t develop emotional wellbeing. By creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment with approachable skilled and experienced staffing.
We hope the children and young people feel confident in talking about any personal issues such as physical and mental health, they may be facing in their lives.
We can achieve developing emotional wellbeing and resilience for example, team sports training and activities, (the impact is high and intensity moderate to vigorous depending on the activity). The advantages are;

• Creating volunteering opportunities
We also want to be able to review the children and young people responses by encouraging self-reflection but also try and identify and reinforce times when the children and young people have demonstrated resilience.
Steps to get it done
- Delivery 20+ weeks of FREE physical activities
- Provide FREE sporting equipments skipping rope, ball, mat, t-shirt, strawstring bag etc to participate
- Host monthly celebration awards to recognise participants commitment
- Create volunteering opportunities
- Host or sign post volunteers to NGB courses and workshop including Safeguarding
- Training courses to be explored with project members
- Employ part-time (25 hours) positions
- Offer full-time Apprenterships
