Through series of carefully planned activities and programmes we aim to use youth and sports activities t develop emotional wellbeing. By creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment with approachable skilled and experienced staffing. We hope the children and young people feel confident in talking about any personal issues such as physical and mental health, they may be facing in their lives. We can achieve developing emotional wellbeing and resilience for example, team sports training and activities, (the impact is high and intensity moderate to vigorous depending on the activity). The advantages are; • Promotes a sense of belonging • Building Confidence • Builds teamwork skills • Good for building social networks • Creating volunteering opportunities We also want to be able to review the children and young people responses by encouraging self-reflection but also try and identify and reinforce times when the children and young people have demonstrated resilience.
Steps to get it done:
Through our project we belief and are confident we can focus on some key areas of enhance social inclusion using community youth and sports activities and programmes; • Valued recognition • Personal development • Involvement and engagement • Proximity • Material wellbeing For example, let’s take involvement and engagement, having the right and the necessary support to make / be involved in decision affecting oneself, family and community and to be engaged in community life such as youth engagement and control of services for youth.
