Swing, jazz, rap, hip hop or rock – whatever you play, sing or perform you could help Minehead find a new vibe this summer.
The town’s bandstand in beautiful Blenheim Gardens is pitch perfect for live performance in the holiday season – and ready to welcome local bands, groups and soloists.
West Somerset Council and the friends of Blenheim Gardens have been busy throughout the winter preparing Blenheim Gardens for the summer, investing in tidying up the area and improving planting.
The finishing touch would be a line-up of performers who could help put the buzz into Blenheim, using the bandstand as the focal point.
The Council is keen to hear from local bands and soloists whether it’s a group of friends who simply enjoy making music, school bands or those aspiring for a musical career – a live slot in Blenheim Gardens could help sow the seeds for the future.

The Bandstand and Park is a well maintained space and worthy of use, for all The Residents and Visitors to Minehead.
We need the residents of Minehead to get behind the desire to use The Band Stand in Bleinheim Gardens. The funding for this event has been removed and The Minehead Events Group are trying to spearhead the activity of this space we have great support from Wilkie May and Tuckwood Estate Agents who are co-ordinations the Bands bookings!
We now need your support to achieve the booking of Brass Bands, loved by the audiences of previous years! They require £150 per Band to appear and as previously discussed the funds are just not available through local councils.
Your support to get this venture off the ground would make this event an on-going event, thank you for your support.

VolunteerThe Minhead Events Group has with the help of a local Business Manager working to bring Bands and Entertainers back to Bleinheim Gardens in Minehead to The Bandstand which was until last year ran by Superact.
With local authority funding almost non existent we are attempting to use this space in the most economic way and this is one way of collecting some funds to make this happen.
Project Owner: The Bands in The Park The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
Contractor: The Bands in the Park The team responsible for building or installing the project.
