Enabling communities to make great projects happen in West Sussex
The AVH stage is currently extended by using specialist equipment and builders. The process requires significant investment of time and effort to assemble and remove and also limits usage of the hall for other activities whilst in situ. A new portable stage pack can be easily assembled by members of the community in a short space of time, allowing more flexibility in the use of the hall. The enhanced stage will provide more opportunities for local residents to participate in easily assembled activities. We need your help to purchase the new stage extension and improve the facilities for our community. Please make a pledge today!
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The most recent production held in the hall had a cast of 35, 6 support staff and an audience of 100 for each of two nights. The majority of these live in the village or locally. The village population is around 200, thus productions are the largest village participatory events. Presently the small village school's productions take place on 5 separate occasions resulting in some very tired children. When they can use the village hall, with the new stage, the number of performances could be reduced to 2, whist still ensuring all parents and families are able to attend. This would be of huge benefit to time-tabling.
