We are getting ready to take over Micklegate again with our daring but hilarious Autohorn Micklegate Run Soapbox Challenge....

This is a FREE event for residents and visitors to York.
We have 50 teams competing for the winning trophy and raising money for charity at the glorious Autohorn Micklegate Run Soapbox Challenge
Hold tight as they race their homemade carts down the 5mtr start ramp and then hurtle down the ancient cobbles towards Ouse Bridge.
Who will make it to the finish line...and Who will lose a wheel (or two) along the way...
Come along and cheer on your favorite team.
Minster FM stage will be there with fun & live music.
Food Court & Outside Eating Area.
Children's rides.

The inspiration behind the event originally was to turn peoples views about the Micklegate Run Pub Crawl from a negative into a more positive perception of Micklegate.
We needed to let people know about the wonderful restaurants, cafes & shops on this York's finest Street.
This is a continuous reminder to everyone and is becoming successful with events like the Autohorn Micklegate Run Soap Box Challenge.
It has turned into an event which is fun for both residents and visitors alike, bringing in revenue not only to Micklegate but the whole of York.
