By Audlem Music and Arts Festival
A free 4 day music and arts festival in Audlem.
Audlem has a 20 year history hosting a popular music & arts festival, attracting ~3000 people to the village. However, due to several reasons, the festival is under threat. The festival supports & exposes people to a wide range of music & arts, from cover bands to poetry slams, art & costume exhibitions, singer songwriters as well as offer an opportunity to fledgling bands looking for their initial exposure. With venues, from churches, pubs, alleyways and community halls, so there is plenty of opportunity. We believe that acts & venues should get rewarded for their contribution, but not all venues have a revenue stream available. As such we are looking for funding to support the areas of the festival that cannot self-fund activities.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The festival aims to be an all inclusive village wide event offering a diverse range of music and arts. The festival will be able to again offer opportunities to local arts and music that have disappeared over the last couple of years. With attractions placed throughout the village, business will benefit from increased footfall. The village is able to cater for all ages and abilities and offer something for everyone.
