More about our impact
The local economy
We were visited by many vulnerable and lonley people form our community who fund the cafe a safe place to be with good food and friendly people who took the time to talk with them. Many people visited on a regular basis. There were no pricelists just a donation box for people to pay what they culd afford.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We had 15 volunteers working on a rota system with 3 people in each day/session. This included some elderly and young students who thouroughly enjoyed learning new skills.
Activity, health and leisure
The cafe being here encouraged people out of their homes. All lunches were served with a small salad and some people tried new foods.
