Nana is an idea- based Diaspora artist and designer who works with, traditional and contemporary processes of mixed media, print and painting. Nana was born in Ghana west Africa and lives in South London. She studied Surface Design at UAL, before pursuing her BA (Hons) in Art and Design at Kingston London. Nana seeks to explore the material language of craft making with her key motivations inspired by her personal autobiography of her family heritage linked to her Ghanaian roots and personal experiences
Nana’s works are vibrant, include processes of texture, conceptual abstraction which have depth and symbolic meaning. Questions are raised which prompts reflection.
Nana has educational experience covering over 20 years. across all ages from early years, primary, secondary and into adulthood. Nana facilitates art and Design based community workshops, school based teaching support and private tutoring sharing Art, personalised craft knowledge and design skills.
