The idea
The Altered Eating Mighty Network will be a virtual space for anyone living with a changed relationship with food and eating. We are a network of patients, researchers, health care practitioners, sensory experts and foodies who share a common interest in how to improve life when your eating has changed. The network will be a growing and sharing space, a space for listening and documenting, venting and developing, digesting and rebelling. It will be a learning democracy.
Our team have worked alongside patients with cancer, brain injury, sjogren's syndrome, anosmia, parosmia and ‘Long Covid’. We will add more information videos, live-streaming events and information guides as a daily form of support. We will also learn together to co-create resources with our participants.
In lock-down we need to grow our network and resources on-line – but when able we will finish our altered eating hub at the Whitley Bay Metro
Station.
