Almondbury Cricket Club

The Latest from New nets for Almondbury Cricket Club

Well it finally happened. The project was completed in september of 2020.

The nets/training facility are now being utilised at least 3 times a week for regular practice nights.

We have managed to attract 7 or 8 new players, coaxed back a couple of former players and now have competition for places in both teams.

The junior set-up took a knock when our external coaching/player sourcing agency were unable to develop any leads due to the pandemic.

This situation has partly been rectified by ourselves sourcing some local junior cricketers that are currently being merged into the 2nd team.

The full junior set-up/coaching sessions are now due to start in early 2022 with an external agency heading up the recruitment process.
