We are Southport & Birkdale Cricket Club and are located on the North West Coast just 10 minutes from the beach.

We run teams from U9's through to U18 in the junior section and also have 3 Mens teams and a newly formed Ladies team which we are very excited about

We are a community grass roots club and have been accredited with the ECB Clubmark which is a robust standard and ensure best practice is at the heart of everything we do including the very important area of child welfare.

I took over as Chairman last december and have created a new Strategy and Development Plan which puts the family at the centre of everything we do.We need to be inclusive and diverse and create a strong proposition for everyone in the community.

At the heart of that proposition is our facilities and it is in that context that we need to improve the Indoor School with new equipment.

Last Winter we organised a band of volunteers to tidy,paint and clean the building up and then through a wonderful phase of fundraising from members including a half marathon run in Lisbon we raised £7,000 to repair the roof and put in new lighting.

We now need to raise £7,900 to acquire new netting,underlay and to re screed the floor as well as two new bowling machines for all the teams.

With this we can then engage all the local clubs and schools and produce an all year end indoor school that we can all enjoy.

We have secured financial support from our local Sefton Council of £3,950 and raised a further £1,000 which leaves £2,900 to find.

If you can donate towards this wonderful initiative we would be so grateful - it will be delivered by October 2020 and will make a huge difference to our coimmunity.
