Lets Unite For Autism, We believe every child and young people with autism should be able to live an ordinary life. Our Mission is to provide people with autism and other developmental disabilities the best possible opportunities for lifetime support, training and assistance to help them reach their highest potential for independence, productivity and fulfilment. Disability is a complex and challenging issue. Whether arising from physical or intellectual impairment, disability has both social, and health implications. Within the world of those impacted by a disability, there are powerful human rights issues presented, including social exclusion, and increased vulnerability to poverty and homelessness. The complex interaction between the functional limitations arising from a person’s disability and their social and physical environment has multiple dimensions and is far more complicated. Our role is to create a bridge spanning this disconnection from community, which impacts many individuals with disabilities. We also provide effective and individualized support to promote an optimal quality of life. We promote a reciprocal people-centred approach of respect and sensitivity for all. We strive to empower individuals with autism by providing community access and meaningful skill-building programs, while engaging the community through outreach and education We provide a hands-on learning experience for typically developing individuals to volunteer as friends and mentors to youth with autism through the Community coaching program.Your child has Autism;” the devastating words that send fear, shock, and confusion through the mind, heart and soul of every parent and caretaker.
