Chislehurst Rocks and Bec Rec Rocks are free to attend live music festivals run by volunteers from the community based on input from local people. We have spent many hours working within the community with groups of people that don't attend, finding out what was preventing them from attending. We learned re are thousands of people in our communities that don't attend events because they have complex needs (their families also do not attend) or because they have no one to go along to the event with. Together with these groups we have put together a robust inclusion package. This includes: accessible toilet complete with hoist, showers, adult changing tables, lift and attendant, Sun flower lanyards , training for all the event staff, volunteers and suppliers), downloadable social stories, online Herbert protocol to complete in advance and much more. As a result the number of visitors to Chis Rocks almost doubled in 2019. We need funds to pay for this package.

This project is a great idea because it means that thousands of people that could not previously take part in events and their families can enjoy a great day out in their community. This helps with physical and mental well being. The wider community benefits from building a stonger more inclusive community

VolunteerCLEAR Synergy Was set up in late 2018 to support community-led projects from the voluntary sector. Many of these groups started local community events that have got too big to be run by volunteers. CLEAR helps these groups run their events professionally and safely and makes sure that they are well attended. We don't want anyone to miss out so we aim to make all our events fully inclusive to everyone.
