The environment
It helped children understand the impact of food production on the environment. Several schools actually grew their own fruits and vegetables to sell.
Volunteering, jobs & education
The project enabled young children to apply their learning in a practical way, as well as develop valuable life skills such as team working and problem solving.
Activity, health and leisure
Children learned about fruits and vegetables and how they contribute to a healthy diet. They also learned about how they are grown and several schools actually grew their own produce to sell.
