The project aims to enhance the sustainability of the hall by replacing its ageing tiled roof, insulating the internal walls, and adding secondary glazing to two windows. These improvements are designed to create a more eco-friendly environment, reducing energy consumption and operational expenses over the long term. By making the hall more comfortable and cost-efficient, the initiative ensures the facility remains a valuable resource for community groups for the next century.

Steps to get it done

  • The first stage will be to insulate the 3 internal walls - 100mm pir rigid insulation will be fitted
  • 70 mm pir rigid insulation fitted in ceiling area
  • Remove and replace roof on rear building and replace with insulated replacement
  • Secondary glaze 2 big windows
  • Replace Radiators with modern convectors
