Empowering people to improve their green spaces, enhance their environment, and boost wellbeing.
By Jason Forde
Flatland bmx is a form of riding that involves balance, patience and creatively. It is a sport, artform and much more. It will show you that once you put your mind to it anything is possible.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
My aim is to teach this artform/sport to children and adults alike and to promote its benefits. To pass down knowledge as an instructor and to create a safe place to learn without destraction. This form of riding will also be recognised in the next Olympics. I want to create future champions (we already have a 3 times world champ at this sport) as we have a good history of riding ability. This club will be the first of its kind in the UK. Let's create champions.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Not every Man Woman or Child is interested in football, Tennis or rugby, Flatland bmx will offer another sport to master, to open your mind, create friends and build bonds.
Steps to get it done:
I have already found a spot to hold my coaching sessions and have held a few introductory classes, parents and children love it, we just need funding to guaranty our spot at the sports centre and take it to the next level. We need more Hall hire time and equipment (smaller bmx bikes for children and those that do not own one) to continue our workshops. I'm already committed. That's something else I have learnt though Bmx.
