The idea
The project is designed to increase our community offer and ensure we have excellent facilities and equipment to support the users described above. We want to build a greater community cohesion, encourage users to engage and participate in the local community, help aid their fitness and give them a sense of belonging and purpose.
The aim is to give these ex-offenders (these are both Men and Women) a chance to participate in the local community by giving them access to our facilities. They will undoubtedly increase not only there fitness, but with this they will develop their own confidence.
Recent index of multiple deprivation statistics show that Liverpool is one of the most deprived areas in the UK, and Tuebrook is one of the most deprived areas with the Liverpool City Region. Therefore, we believe any community project to encourage residents to come together to improve the local area is beneficial to everyone.
What we'll deliver
- New equipment to support the keep fit & boxercise sessions
- Room hire
