Timescape Adventures (by Escape Kent) is a new and exciting format of escape rooms rarely seen across the globe. Using our vast experience in the escape room industry we plan to create a unique attraction which utilises the most successful elements of our other projects whilst removing known limitations in order to increase the accessibility so that a wider range of customers can participate, including those with physical disabilities, and younger children. Currently only 0.5% of escape rooms in the UK cater for customers with physical disabilities and we aim to be at the forefront of a revolutionary change in the industry. We plan to carry out this change by using our own custom built automated system which will adjust the tasks and puzzles in our games according to the ability of the group participating.

What we'll deliver:

  • A fully automated escape room experience
  • A system which adjusts according to the ability of the group playing
  • Higher inclusion for players under the age of 12

Why it's a great idea:

The automated system we plan to develop will allow us to cater for a wider range of customers, as well as catering for more customers at one time in a single space. This will lead to more happy customers and a new audience being introduced to the exciting world of escape games. As our style of game will be more accessible to a younger audience we plan to link up with local schools to offer teambuilding sessions for those under the age of 12. We believe this will give children of this age an exciting and unique opportunity to learn vital social skills they may not get in their traditional schooling. By catering for a range of customers with physical disabilities we feel that the local community would benefit greatly from this format of game, and we cannot find anything else which does this across the country.

Steps to get it done:

  • Concept three individual game ideas
  • Design a back end system which will work independently from the games
  • Test back end system with three individual games
  • Design full library of 12 games
  • Install system in Canterbury site
