The idea
I.M.P.A.C.T. North East offers counselling support for children, Young people and families who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems in Sunderland and across the North East. We have tailored our services to address the sudden rise in demand due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Using alternative solutions to allow creative access to community mental health services as and when needed..
In light of the unprecedented challenges we are all facing, through the current pandemic, we are offering proactive and vital support across our communities, including well-being assessments, food packs, crisis support, training, consultations, referral pathways and family support. All provided by our multi disciplinary team who are qualified in their specialist fields.
Our support will help reduction of the number of people who could potentially need access psychological support after this health crisis comes to an end. Enabling people to feel happier with increased resilience.
What we'll deliver
- Counselling & emotional support, including crisis support via zoom or telephone
- Free online training to support with anxiety, OCD and stress, includes on line group sessions
- Food parcels & activity packs for children and young people
- Friends Resilience program(Anxiety program) to 50 children & young people

Steps to get it done
- Purchase Food & essential supplies
- Purchase well-being activities items and resources for children & young people
- Enroll Learners on the friends resilience course & advertise for the remaining 20 our of 50 places.
- Purchase zoom accounts
- If over spend purchase ISpring and upload our training courses for families , children and young people to access.
- Pay rent in advance to retain premises, so we can support & continue face to face to increase community engagement
- Keep stakeholders informed and work with community partners
We will do steps in our project that we can achieve based on the success of the crowd funder. Which will give realistic goals to know what we will spend your money on.
