The idea
This is important as a playpark can provide a variety of learning opportunities. Outdoor play involves; physical exercise, social behaviour, imaginative play and cognitive development with gross motor skills. Exercise improves health and well-being while the safe environment encourages independence.
The need for this project is a safe, inclusive, accessible and exciting environment for the young of the community to play and engage with their peers, it is also a good place for families and friends to gather as part of a community and younger members get fresh air and exercise.
The current park is 15+ years old and in great need of refurbishment. It is a well used park, before after school times and during the weekends is always full of children, to have the equipment taken away or park closing would be detrimental to all.
