We will deliver a new website that promotes our lively village to the world & new signage to attract visitors to stop & visit. This is a project that will celebrate our community & boost our economy.
Studley is a large village with a rich industrial heritage, a small yet diverse High Street & beautiful countryside walks. Many people drive through our village but few of them stop to explore it. We believe that by creating an inviting message to showcase all that Studley has to offer, we will inspire more people to spend time & shop here and create a sense of place for our existing community. Our project consists of 2 key elements: • A new website to promote Studley as a place for both locals & visitors to enjoy. Our website would engage the entire community & inspire people to get involved in our many groups & activities whilst marketing Studley as an interesting place to visit and shop • New wayfinding signs & information boards to highlight key locations & eye-catching banners along the busy A435 to advertise festivals & events We are in the process of applying for planning permission. In the unlikely event we are not successful, no money will be taken from backers
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
We think this project is a great idea because our goal is to put our village firmly on the map with a new focus, eye-catching signage and an interactive community website that promotes Studley as an interesting visitor destination in its own right. We want to inspire a positive and prosperous feeling within our village, to generate pride amongst residents and admiration from our visitors. Overall we want to identify the real heart of Studley and make sure the world knows exactly where we are.
Steps to get it done:
Our project is all about our community & so far we have secured the support of: * The local business forum that aims to increase the prosperity of Studley (Studley in Business) * Studley in Bloom who keep our village looking blooming fantastic * Studley Christmas lights who give us our festive displays * Artists Workhouse who run Studley Arts Trail, excellent artistic events & work with local schools & businesses * Studley Common Nature Reserve: our reinvigorated green space for everyone * Studley Improvement partnership who support our important needle industry heritage roots * Our Parish council * Studley High school & Junior Schools which helps us to gain the insight & support of our younger residents. There is a recognised need in Studley to tie all of our groups & organisations together. We feel a combined approach will help us create a new vision for Studley's future so we can grasp further opportunities & continue to improve our village in the long term.

An update to our valued project supporters and contributors, The Crowdfunding Project team met for what we hope was the final time last night to finally sign off the artwork, locations and content for Studley’s new information boards and signage! The signage aspect of the Enjoyably Studley project has been the most challenging of all but we wanted to make sure every detail was perfect. Once our final amends have been completed, our suppliers will begin the manufacture and installation is hoped to take place by the end of the summer! We will keep you posted! Thank you to everyone for your support and enthusiasm. The Enjoyably Studley Volunteers x
We have been blown away by the support and interest in the new Studley website, thank you to everyone who has submitted an entry so far. Now it is time for the project to say THANK YOU to the generous Studley businesses who backed our crowdfunding campaign. If you contributed to the crowdfund and you represent or own a business that is based in Studley, or is within 5 miles of Studley we would like to offer your business a FREE enhanced listing on the new Enjoyably Studley website for the first 12 months (01.01.19 - 31.12.19). An enhanced listing includes your business name, and contact details, up to 250 words of copy, your logo and up to 6 images that relate to your business. In order to claim your free enhanced listing please email onthemap@studleyinbusiness.co.uk and we will forward the link to upload your copy. We will then ask you to email your logo and images to us directly. The enhanced business listing is in addition to your fee standard business listing. Details on how to purchase an enhanced listing will follow shortly. The purpose of the Enjoyably Studley website is to promote Studley as a destination to visit, spend time and shop. Therefore the site will focus on Studley businesses, activities, clubs and societies. Many thanks again for your support, the success of this project is thanks to you! The Studley on the Map Project Steering Group.
Can you believe it has been a year since we launched our crowdfunding campaign? After successfully hitting our fundraising target in April, the delivery stage of the Studley on the Map project is at the 6 month point....and we have lots to tell you! We are busily working on developing the new website for Studley. We are looking forward to launching this exciting website but first we need your help in gathering data from Studley's many businesses and community groups to populate the pages! Very soon we will be emailing out a link to an online data capture form. Emails will be sent to Studley businesses and Community Groups and the data submitted will be used to build each listing on the website. All businesses in the village will be offered a free standard entry on the website and if you are a business who contributed to funding the project, you will automatically be offered an 'enhanced' listing for your business. Other businesses will be invited to pay for an enhanced listing (which will be in addition to their free standard listing) at an introductory rate of £50.00 for 12 months. All payments will be paid directly into the project fund to contribute to the long term maintenance of the website and signs. Community group listings are all free and will invite you to promote your group activities to the wider community (great news if you don't have a dedicated website!). The attached images give a sneaky peek into the look and style of our new Studley 'brand' which we hope you will love as much as we do! Please look out for your data capture email and help us to spread the word about the website wherever you can. It will only be as good as the information that is on there! More information on the signage element of the project to come soon... Thank you for your continued support. The Studley on the Map Project Steering Group
Happy Saturday Everyone! We would like to say a BIG thank you to the 98 people who took time out to complete the recent online survey. The responses were really interesting, positive and insightful. We’ll do a separate update with a summary of answers soon. The answers will also be used to help create themes and ideas for how we market and promote Studley through the delivery of the project - REMEMBER we are not just buying ‘some signposts and a website’, we have to make these ‘things’ tell a story about our fantastic village - a positive story that will help Studley become a place that more people choose to hang out in, visit and enjoy.... Another fantastic outcome of the survey was that more than 30 people volunteered their time to take part in the themed working groups that are being organised to help create the content for the signs and website! On Thursday evening (see the picture below) we invited all volunteers to join the project steering group at the Studley Sports & Social Club to talk about the vision for and the delivery of the project. Thank you to those who came along. For those who couldn’t, we will be in touch about your chosen group soon. We also drew the winners of our prize draw for everyone who completed the survey.... CONGRATULATIONS to: Jennifer Rogers who wins a choice of Reiki healing session/massage donated by ILLUMI Hair and Beauty And Gail Smith who wins an MOT which was donated by DC Edginton & Sons! So WHAT’S NEXT? Since we hit target, the project steering group have been meeting regularly and have already made great progress. We have been preparing the tendering processes for the signage project and the website... these will be rolled out very soon and we will issue an update shortly. We are also still finalising pledge collections from Go Cardless and PayPal. We bank with TSB and if you are a customer of theirs, you will appreciate the recent access issues we have faced there! 🤦♀️ We’re only 8 weeks into our 12 month delivery phase and we are feeling positive and excited about what’s to come! Thanks for reading 🙌😊
Here is the link to the questionnaire we told you about in our previous message.... please complete and share this with as many local friends and family as you can. More responses = a clearer vision for Studley. Many thanks, The Studley on the Map Project Steering Group. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Z3TWNH8
Hi everyone! The Studley on the Map Project Steering group has been busy over the past few weeks preparing for the delivery stage of the project and bringing it to life! If you pledged, you will hopefully have received an email from PayPal or Go Cardless to request your payment - the funds are still being processed and paid into the account fund. Now your help is needed once again! We will shortly be issuing a questionnaire to the entire community to help determine a vision for the future of the village. It is a short questionnaire and there is also an option to put yourself forward for one of the themed working groups that will be created to help deliver the project. Please keep an eye out for the online version or a hard copy of the questionnaire - these will be placed in businesses around Studley and can be returned to a collection box in the library. We hope to collect as many responses as we can in order to determine a clear vision for the legacy of the project and what it will bring to our village. Keep your eyes peeled!
Today is deadline day and guess what?! We only went and did it! We hit our fundraising target, and then we exceeded it!! This proves that Studley really is a community to be proud of, and we want to thank every single person who has believed, supported, taken part and pledged - you have all made a difference to Studley’s future. Spacehive will shortly be collecting your pledges so please look out for that over the next few days. The project steering committee will then put the wheels in motion for stage 2 - DELIVERY! Lots of preparation has been going on behind the scenes for the past 12 weeks and we will update everyone on progress and next steps very soon. In the meantime THANK YOU again, and Happy Easter x The Studley on the Map Project Steering Group x
