The idea
Music has always been at the heart of stickyshoes, with young local bands playing alongside established acts & events been open to an audience of all ages. Now we're planning a day festival celebrating everything we've discovered in the last year or so, from music to art, film to poetry, we'll have a little bit of everything for your eyes and ears.
Live music comes from Sky Larkin, The Tuts, Crybabycry, Esper Scout, The Ainsley Band & Black Wolf Catch. Minicine will be providing a pop up cinema with a full programme of films, and Artplace will be running exhibitions of local artists. There's also chance for the audience to get involved, with workshops & jam sessions... We'll also have street food, a record fair, and space for market stalls.
Anyone that pledges £5 or over will get a ticket on the door of the venue and a goody bag of gifts for being so NICE! (more info to come) please email: [email protected] for more information!
What we'll deliver
- Showcasie local arts / music
- Provide a safe, fun environment for a diverse audience of all ages
Why it's a great idea
We'll be providing a fun, safe environment for an audience of all ages, as well as giving people a chance to get involved in all aspects of the event. From performing on the day, helping out with marketing and designing posters, it will be a great chance for people in the area to get involved in an event for them, by them.
Steps to get it done
- A team of organisers will run the event, and co-ordinate volunteers
- Work closely with organisations such as Minicine & Artplace to ensure a diverse programme of events
