The idea
The children's play area and toilets are being upgraded with money from Aylesbury Vale District Council's New Homes Bonus, Stewkley Recreation Ground Association and Stewkley Parish Council.
This crowd funding project will provide a shelter and picnic tables within the play area to put the icing on the cake of this wonderful development.
Children, parents and grandparents will enjoy this outdoor space for picnic lunches and social gatherings.

Why it's a great idea
The Rec is a well-loved and well used facility but the play area needs a face lift.
This project will give children of all ages somewhere to hang out with their friends and family. The picnic tables will give families somewhere to spend quality time in the outdoors.
The play shelter will be a wonderful space for parents and other family members to meet up while the children play in the refurbished playground
The play shelter can also be used as a gathering space for Cubs and Brownies

- Sponsored children's event
- Consultation and fund raising event
- Award contract
- Clear the site ready for delivery and installation
- New equipment installation
Funding from the New Homes Bonus scheme, the Parish Council and the Recreation Association will provide some new play equipment and refurbish the toilets but we will need a bit more money to make this a really great place for our children to play.
