The idea

This project delivers two public exhibitions while strengthening our gallery as a long-term resource for the local community. The first exhibition will run for six weeks, followed by a one-week exhibition in collaboration with the Dublin Urban Sketchers Society. Both exhibitions will include public openings, professionally printed catalogues, flyers, and other materials to support access and engagement, as well as a professional lighting setup.
Alongside the exhibitions, we will prepare and improve the gallery through essential upgrades, including new hanging systems, wall preparation and painting materials, professional lighting, and modular wall structures. These improvements will remain in the space after the exhibitions, allowing us to host future shows and expand our programme.
The project supports local artists at different stages of their careers by providing a professional space to showcase work and build strong portfolios. Several artists who have exhibited with us have gone

What we'll deliver

  • A professionally curated group exhibition (16January - 28 February)2026 featuring up to 40 local artists
  • A fully installed, visually cohesive exhibition with proper lighting, signage, and labels
  • A printed exhibition catalogue (minimum 100 copies) featuring artist bios and artworks
  • Public opening night event with live presentations from participating artists
  • Design and production of promotional materials — posters, flyers, and online campaign
  • Digital exhibition page showcasing all participating artists for wider access
  • Modular wall structures for displaying artwork
  • Professional lighting setup for both exhibitions including the further usage for the next exhibitions

Why it's a great idea

Through two public exhibitions, one running for six weeks and another for one week, visitors will have the opportunity to engage with the artists and creative hands on workshops and build up local community
A key benefit of the project is its support for local artists at different stages of their careers. Emerging artists gain the chance to professionally present their work and build strong portfolios, while more established artists continue to develop and showcase to the new audiences. Several artists who have previously exhibited with us have gone on to secure further exhibitions and showcased internationally, that is the real impact this opportunity can have.
The project also brings long-term benefits by improving the gallery’s infrastructure. New lighting, hanging systems, modular walls which will remain in place after the exhibitions, supporting future shows, events, and public-facing activities.
