Save cricket in the community

Funding required to plug the gap caused by the COVID -19 pandemic

The idea

As a local cricket club we have experienced financial hardship as a result of the COVID -19 disease. This has resulted in the cancellation of all recreational cricket matches, for children and adults until further notice. All fund raising activities and income generation has been prohibited. Our sponsors have been unable to support our club at the present time.

During these difficult times we still need to maintain our cricket ground. This will enable us to recommence cricket when the disease has passed so help with these costs is very important.

Our club has survived over 200 years and we hope it will survive for another 200 years with your help.

What we'll deliver

  • Cricket continuing to be played at Purbrook Heath.

Why it's a great idea

To guarantee the survival of community cricket at grassroots level and to propagate the game to professional level.

Steps to get it done

  • To enable payment for regular ground maintenance for restarting of cricket
